When I first stumbled into the world of vintage campers, I was just as overwhelmed as I was thrilled about the idea of buying my very own vintage camper to renovate. I didn’t know what to look for in an old camper, where to find parts, or how to go about installing them and I didn’t have anyone to ask. Camper Revamper is an ever-growing community that is built to support and learn from each other. Whether you already own a camper, or you are looking to renovate one and don’t know where to start, you’ve come to the right place.
Hi, I’m Jenna!
I first became interested in vintage campers after stumbling upon a gorgeous, renovated camper on Pinterest. Well, the interest quickly turned into a full-blown obsession and it wasn’t long before I purchased my own 1959 Shasta Airflyte.
If you’ve ever spent more than 10 minutes with me, I’ve probably started talking about my vintage camper at some point. It's safe to say - I’m obsessed!
I started designing this camper waaaay before I actually purchased it. I went through so many ideas and themes, trying to figure out exactly what I wanted my camper to look like. By the time I had it in my possession, I was ready to get to work!
I cannot even begin to explain to you how excited I was to have this amazing little camper in my possession! I had been dreaming of this, planning and designing in my head for close to a year.
Now that I was past the painting on the Shasta, I felft like I could really make waves on the rest of the camper! The kitchen was the next project to tackle, and that meant finding a way to redo the countertops.
I found so many new, fun things at Home Depot during this process! One of the things I discovered was peel and stick “tile” backsplash! While this has become a pretty popular upgrade, it was completely new to me att the time.
This was probably the easiest and most rewarding part of the camper revamp. Luckily, I had recently done a little research on flooring.

My first run-in with trailers and trailer remodels was a mobile renovation on the Nate Berkus show back in 2012. From that moment I started searching high and low (mostly Craigslist) for a vintage trailer of my own.
